All Facilities in the Park Free for Children on Children's Day

Wangpicheon Cable Car and Uljin Aquarium Host Various Events

Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk, is hosting various events and special discounts at Wangpicheon Park in celebration of Family Month in May.

On Children's Day, May 5th, all facilities within the park (Safety Experience Center, Insect Travel Center, Cable Car, Aquarium, etc.) will be free for children. Wangpicheon Cable Car and the Aquarium plan to offer gifts and unique experiences through various events.

On Children's Day, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Wangpicheon Cable Car will hold a roulette drawing event at the plaza in front of the Safety Experience Center, providing various gifts such as umbrellas, soap bubbles, and beverages.

Additionally, the Aquarium will host an underwater quiz show with an aquarist at 3:30 p.m. on May 5th, where participants can solve quizzes and receive gifts. From May 4th to 6th at 3 p.m., a seal ecology briefing will also be held.

Furthermore, starting May 1st, a special Family Month discount will be available: a 20% discount for seniors aged 65 and over and up to five accompanying persons when using either the cable car or aquarium, and up to a 30% discount for purchasing combined cable car and aquarium tickets online in advance. These discount events will run throughout the month.

County Governor Son Byeong-bok said, “I hope that the various attractions and events held at Wangpicheon Park during Family Month in May will provide precious moments for children and all families.” He added, “We will continue to develop diverse programs and discount systems so that Uljin Wangpicheon Park can be a joyful resting place for both residents and tourists.”
