The walking craze is also sweeping through small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-sized companies. Walking events involving employees help create a healthy organizational culture. Hecto Group, a mid-sized company, is a prime example. At Hecto Group, walking has become an intrinsic part of the corporate culture. This year, they are preparing a walking event that expands participation to include customers.

On the 30th, Hecto Group announced that it will hold a customer-invited walking event called the "One-Day Walking Challenge: Donate as You Walk" in May, the month of family, to support children from vulnerable groups. The event, scheduled for the 11th of next month, will involve employees from Hecto Innovation, Hecto Healthcare?a biotech company known for its probiotic brand 'Deusimone'?and Hecto Financial, a payment solutions company, all part of Hecto Group. Approximately 400 participants, including employees, sponsored children and their families, and platform users, will walk around Olympic Park. The event uses Hecto Group’s platform 'Ballo Sodeuk' to complete missions such as step count goals. To promote and spread a culture of sharing, Hecto Group plans to donate a total of 10 million KRW to Gangnam-gu Dream Start in the names of the participants and will issue donation receipts to them.

Hecto Group launched the 'Ttubuk Ttubuk Challenge' program in 2020, which sets step count goals and rewards participants upon achievement. The goal was to promote individual health as well as communication among employees through walking. The first event received great response, with a 'Million Walker' who walked over one million steps in a month, leading to the creation of a hall of fame within the company and an expansion of the event scale from the second round in 2021. The third round introduced a team competition system to strengthen team unity and added various mini missions to incorporate game elements.

Last year, about 120 employees walked around the Jamsil Hangang Park area. Participants started near Jamsil Naru Nadeulmok and took a walk of about 20,000 steps while picking up trash. The Ttubuk Ttubuk Challenge has become a unique internal culture at Hecto Group and has evolved into a welfare system called 'Ttubuk Points.' 'Ttubuk Points' are welfare points awarded based on step counts, encouraging continuous walking in daily life.
