Cheonan Accelerates Creation of Future Medical New Industry Cluster

Bid Announcement for Research Service on Comprehensive Plan Establishment and Execution Task Derivation

Cheonan City in Chungnam has embarked on the process of establishing a comprehensive plan for the creation of a future medical new industry cluster.

On the 29th, the city announced the bid notice for a research project aimed at creating a future medical new industry cluster and deriving implementation tasks in fields such as dentistry, digital healthcare, and precision medicine to improve national medical welfare and generate future growth engines.

Through this project, the city plans to establish a comprehensive plan that supports the entire cycle from R&D planning and commercialization strategies based on an industry-academia-research-hospital-government cooperation model to clinical trials, approvals, market development, technology commercialization, and the domestic and international medical tourism industry.

In particular, it is expected that the scale and scope of fostering the future medical new industry will expand significantly if the cluster is established and the presidential pledge to establish the National Institute of Dental Science in Cheonan is fulfilled.
