At the time, a delivery worker saw someone in the Lexus vehicle pushing their pet dog out of the car and captured the entire scene on camera. The delivery worker followed the vehicle for several blocks, but the car did not stop. Meanwhile, the dog in the video desperately ran after the departing owner’s car. When the car briefly stopped at a traffic light, the dog desperately clung to the driver’s side window. However, the car did not stop and eventually left the dog behind.

The delivery worker shared this video on their SNS. A woman named Destiny Gomez, who saw the video, messaged the delivery worker and also shared the video on her own SNS. Gomez, who usually helps lost pets find their homes, said, “My heart hurt so much when I saw the video. I couldn’t stop crying,” expressing her distress.
With the help of her SNS followers, Gomez and her boyfriend went to find the abandoned dog and were able to safely locate it within a few hours. She gave the dog a new name, “Chico.” Chico is currently being cared for by a temporary guardian until a new owner is found. Netizens who saw the video reacted strongly, saying things like, “They even removed the license plate from the car. It was completely planned,” “It’s heartbreaking to see the dog trying its best to return to its owner,” and “It’s so cruel. They don’t deserve to have a pet dog.”
