Dobong-gu to Host the 29th Dobong Residents' Day Festival on May 1
Inviting Over 3,500 Residents for a Celebration of Unity and Enjoyment
Part 1 Ends with Dobong-gu's New City Brand Launch; Part 2 Features Congratulations Performances by Ailee, Son Tae-jin, and Min Kyung-hoon

Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) will hold a commemorative festival at 5 p.m. on May 1st at Darakwon Sports Park to celebrate the 29th Dobong-gu Residents' Day.


The district invited about 3,500 people, including private organizations, related institutions, and residents who have cooperated for the development of the district, to create a festival where residents can unite and enjoy together.


The festival will consist of Part 1, a commemorative ceremony, and Part 2, a congratulatory performance. Part 1 will include the Dobong Residents' Award and Brand Song Contest award ceremony, commemorative and congratulatory speeches, and the city brand (BI) proclamation ceremony.


The Dobong Residents' Award is given to residents and organizations that have made significant contributions to community development. It will be awarded to six residents (or organizations) in five categories: ▲Community Development ▲Social Service ▲Culture and Sports Promotion ▲Public Morality ▲Special Award.


The city brand proclamation ceremony will conclude Part 1. The district will unveil the new city brand (BI), "Changing Together, Happy Dobong," and announce the rebirth of the city brand to the residents on this day.


Part 2 will feature congratulatory performances starting with the local cultural artist Donggurami Band, followed by spectacular and splendid performances by popular singers Min Kyung-hoon, Son Tae-jin, and Ailee, who are loved by the public.


The festival will be held on the day without prior registration. Residents from other areas are also welcome to attend.


A district official said, "Outdoor seating for comfortable viewing will be prepared, so we hope many people will come and celebrate Dobong Residents' Day together."


Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, said, "I hope the 29th Dobong Residents' Day commemorative festival will be an occasion where residents can unite and enjoy themselves freely," adding, "We will continue to create a Dobong that changes and grows together with the residents."
