Deputy Foreign Minister Kang In-seon will visit Cameroon and Senegal as a special envoy of the President ahead of the Korea-Africa Summit scheduled for early June.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the 28th, Deputy Minister Kang plans to visit Cameroon and Senegal from today until the 4th of next month to discuss matters related to participation in the Korea-Africa Summit.
Deputy Minister Kang will request the attendance of heads of state from both countries at the Korea-Africa Summit and discuss ways to develop relations between Korea and Cameroon and Senegal.
First Deputy Foreign Minister Kim Hong-gyun also visited Kenya and Mauritius as a special envoy of the President from the 15th to the 18th of last month.
The government plans to hold the first-ever Korea-Africa Summit with various African countries in Seoul on June 4-5.
