Opening of Seocho Youth Center, a Customized Comprehensive Support Space for Youth in Seocho-gu

Seocho-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jeon Seong-su) opened the 'Seocho Youth Center,' a customized comprehensive support space for young people, on the 25th on the 2nd floor of 'Youth Housing Yangjae Conest (2567 Nambusunhwan-ro)' in front of Exit 1 of Yangjae Station.


This place will serve as the hub for Seocho-gu's youth policies, where young people can prepare for employment and entrepreneurship, receive career counseling, acquire information, rent spaces, and hold meetings all in one location.


The center, with a total floor area of 701.2㎡, is diversely configured to meet the needs and purposes of young users. It includes ▲ the 'Seoripul Youth Hall' and 'Open Workspace' for multipurpose activities ▲ the 'Conference Hall' for large-scale lectures, events, and education ▲ the 'Work Room' for community activities, group studies, and small meetings ▲ the 'Community Room' for policy guidance and communication ▲ the 'Creator Room' equipped for personal broadcasting, video shooting, and video conferencing ▲ the 'AI Interview Experience Room' where users can try AI-based interviews for free ▲ and a 'Shared Office' for freelancers and one-person enterprises.


At this location, the district plans to run various youth support community programs such as career management supporting youth job seeking and entrepreneurship activities, community programs to prevent social isolation among youth, Seocho-type regional specialized programs to promote youth exchange and activities, and special lectures based on youth demand.


The opening ceremony was attended by elected National Assembly member Shin Dong-wook, members of the Seoul Metropolitan Council and Seocho District Council, Kang Eun-kyung, CEO of Seocho Cultural Foundation, Jeon Su-gyeong, Chairperson of the Youth Policy Committee, Hong Seung-ran, Chairperson of the Youth Women's Culture Center, and others, who conducted a plaque unveiling ceremony together with youth representatives.


Inside the facility, various experience booths were set up, where about 400 young people residing or active in Seocho-gu participated in AI interview experiences, in-depth MBTI tests, Moru doll making, LH housing consulting, and more.


Additionally, music performances and talk concerts for youth continued to celebrate the first day of the opening.


The 'Seocho Youth Center' is freely available to anyone aged 19 to 39 who resides or is active in Seocho-gu, and more benefits can be enjoyed by signing up on the website. It operates from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturdays, and is closed on Sundays and public holidays.


Jeon Seong-su, Mayor of Seocho-gu, said, “We will do our best to establish the Seocho Youth Center as a cornerstone of Seocho-gu’s youth policies,” adding, “We will continue to carefully and thoroughly support what young people need.”
