Cheaper and Faster... Naver Launches HyperCLOVA X 'Dash' Model

Naver Cloud announced on the 25th the release of 'HCX-DASH,' a lightweight model of the super-large AI 'HyperClovaX,' through its AI development tool 'Clova Studio.'

HCX-DASH is available at a lower cost compared to the existing HyperClovaX model (HCX-003). Customers can use the new model on Clova Studio at about one-fifth the price of the previous model. It also features improved speed based on efficient use of computing resources.

HyperClovaX was able to process Korean faster and at a lower cost than AI models trained mostly on English data. HCX-DASH is said to enhance these advantages.

Naver Cloud plans to sequentially provide various types of HyperClovaX models on Clova Studio in the future. Users can flexibly choose the most suitable model considering the type of task and cost. In particular, HCX-DASH demonstrated excellent performance in relatively simple tasks such as sentence generation and transformation, classification, and summarization, as well as in writing reports or implementing customized chatbots. Additionally, there are plans to release models capable of performing more sophisticated and complex tasks with higher completeness, as well as models that can process not only text but also image and audio data.
