Female Sports Announcer in Her 30s Drunk Driving While Intoxicated... "Tried to Call a Substitute Driver"

A sports broadcasting announcer was caught by the police while driving under the influence.

On the 26th, the Songpa Police Station in Seoul announced that they are investigating a woman in her 30s, identified as A, on charges of drunk driving.

A is accused of driving under the influence at around 9 p.m. the previous day in the parking lot of a restaurant in Samjeon-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul.

At the time, another driver reported to the police that A's vehicle was blocking the parking lot exit, preventing them from leaving. The breathalyzer test confirmed that A's blood alcohol concentration was at the level warranting license cancellation.

A reportedly stated that she was "moving the car to call a designated driver."
