3 Out of 4 Men and Women in a Group Stretching Legs Across Front Seats
"Please Keep Etiquette" Netizens Continue Criticism
A 'movie theater nuisance' who stretched out their legs on the seat in front was spotted again. Although no one was sitting in the front seat, many viewers watching the movie together expressed displeasure at the behavior.
On the 25th, a post titled "Shocking Recent Situation at a Busan Movie Theater" was uploaded to an online community. The author, Mr. A, who went to watch "The Outlaws 4," expressed discomfort along with a photo, saying, "They were boldly putting their feet up as I entered the theater."

In the photo Mr. A posted, three out of four people in a group of men and women had their legs resting on the headrest of the front seat. Among them, a woman was barefoot. Similar incidents have sparked controversy before. Above all, even if the front seat is empty, putting feet up should be avoided as it can make others uncomfortable or sometimes cause unpleasant odors. Netizens reacted to the photo with comments such as "They really have no manners," "They lack basic etiquette," and "Troublemakers don’t realize they are troublemakers."
Previously, a 2020 survey of 696 movie theater part-time workers conducted by Albamon showed that the worst nuisance customers in theaters were those who excessively spilled popcorn, nachos, and other food. When Albamon asked if they had experienced difficulties due to nuisance customers, 85.2% of respondents answered "yes." The worst nuisance customers identified by these theater workers were "customers who excessively spill food like popcorn and nachos (42.5%)." Following that, "customers who laugh too loudly and pay no attention to those around them (28.2%)" and "customers who use their phones or have their phone ringing during the movie (28.2%)" tied for second place.
Fourth place went to "customers trying to enter after the designated admission time (23.9%)." After that, "customers who drink excessively while watching the movie (18.4%)," "customers who have difficulty ordering by giving wrong movie names (12.1%)," and "customers who chat or take too long choosing menus at the counter (12.1%)" were also listed among nuisance customers.
