The consumption benefits of the Donghaeng Festival, the largest event in Korea promoting the consumption of products from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and small business owners, will be further expanded this year.
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 27th that it has signed a tripartite business agreement with BC Card and NH Nonghyup Card to provide more substantial consumption benefits to consumers during the Donghaeng Festival period and to revitalize the use of small business stores such as Baeknyeon Gage and traditional markets.
Through this agreement, the three parties will establish an efficient support system for the development of small business owners and traditional markets based on mutual cooperation.
BC Card has prepared abundant benefits, including a 10% discount (up to 5,000 KRW) for payments of 30,000 KRW or more at 30,000 small and medium TOP merchants nationwide (excluding convenience stores), a 10% discount (up to 10,000 KRW) at over 1,300 'Baeknyeon Gage' stores, a 3,000 KRW reward for using prepaid Onnuri gift certificates worth 30,000 KRW or more, and a prize event for spending over 100,000 KRW.
NH Nonghyup Card will conduct various promotions to stimulate consumption, including a 10% discount at Baeknyeon Gage stores, prize events linked to regional festivals, and planned exhibitions of agricultural products and small business products both online and offline.
Won Young-jun, Director of the Small Business Policy Office, said, “With this business agreement, we expect the Donghaeng Festival, now in its fifth year, to offer more substantial consumption benefits,” and added, “We ask for the public’s great interest and participation so that the use of small business owners and traditional markets can be promoted and bring great vitality.”
