Opening of the 'Dobong-gu Small Business Support Center'

Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) has established the 'Dobong-gu Small Business Support Center' at 20-9 Banghak-ro 6-gil.

The district announced that the space, previously used as Sandol Village Vitalization Center, was repurposed in January this year to become a space dedicated to supporting small business owners.

The center spans a total area of 265.2㎡ from the basement level 1 to the second floor above ground, designed as a comprehensive support space covering all stages of business management, from startup support to product promotion and competitiveness enhancement for small business owners.

A district official stated, “The center will serve as a key hub for the local economy and act as a control tower supporting small business owners and merchants.”

The first floor houses a product promotion and exhibition hall for small business owners. About 50 excellent local small business products are displayed. The exhibition items will be rotated quarterly, allowing visitors to experience a variety of products from local small business owners.

The second floor contains consultation rooms for small business owners and merchants. Experts from the Smart Innovation Support Group provide management consulting to small business owners facing difficulties in running their businesses.

Additionally, on the same floor, office spaces for small business owners and traditional market managers, as well as a base space for small business owners and merchants, have been separately arranged.

The basement level 1 features a food service startup incubating lab. This space is intended for prospective food service entrepreneurs such as bakery and cafe startups, who can use the space at a low rental fee. The district plans to recruit tenants around June and start leasing from July.

Next to the food service startup incubating lab is an umbrella repair center. This facility will provide a community-oriented service repairing umbrellas for local residents at a cost of 100 won per umbrella.

Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, said, “Through the operation of the center, we will listen to the voices of small business owners on the ground and develop and implement policies that can be tangibly felt.”

The district is promoting various projects to strengthen the self-sustainability and management support of small business owners. Since last year, it has operated the first-ever regional small business manager system in Seoul, visiting over 12,000 stores to listen to management difficulties and providing more than 100 professional consultations through the Smart Innovation Support Group.
