Samsung Electronics, Coupang, Yogiyo, and Others Passed Through
Coinone, a virtual asset exchange, announced on the 25th that it has established the position of Chief Product Officer (Chief Product Officer·CPO) to oversee product and service planning and has appointed Lee Yong-gyu, formerly of Yogiyo, as the new CPO. Through this appointment, the company aims to expand its product organization and accelerate innovation in Coinone's products.
CPO Lee Yong-gyu is a 'product expert' with over 20 years of experience in product and service planning at leading domestic and international companies. He graduated from Parsons School of Design and began his career as a designer at Est?e Lauder's New York headquarters in 2003. He later earned an MBA from Duke University and worked in Samsung Electronics' Galaxy product planning team, served as a senior PO at the e-commerce company Coupang, and oversaw product and service management at fashion platforms StyleShare and 29CM. From 2020, he served as CPO of the delivery platform Yogiyo for two years.
The CPO is responsible for establishing the strategy and direction of products from Coinone's business perspective. He is entrusted with the important task of maximizing product competitiveness in response to the changing demands of users and the market. Coinone plans to continuously recruit talented planners led by this CPO. The company intends to further accelerate the advancement of exchange products and services, which it has been focusing on since last year.
