Min Hee-jin, CEO of ADOR, the agency to which girl group NewJeans belongs, said, "I did not betray HYBE; rather, HYBE betrayed me. They exploited me as much as they could and framed me to suppress me."
On the 25th, Min held a press conference in Seocho-gu, Seoul, and refuted HYBE's allegations of "attempted takeover of management rights," stating, "There was no plan, intention, or execution of any management rights seizure."
HYBE suspected that Min and some ADOR executives tried to take over ADOR's management rights and poach NewJeans members, and launched a surprise audit on the 22nd. They subsequently announced the interim audit results and declared their intention to file a complaint against Min with investigative authorities.
HYBE presented conversations between Min and ADOR Vice President A on KakaoTalk as evidence of the management rights takeover attempt. Min claimed, "I am curious about the intention behind portraying my casual talks as serious and defaming me."
Min stated, "This cannot be considered embezzlement," and added, "I am only guilty of doing my job well."
She further said, "HYBE, which is trying to oust me, the CEO of a subsidiary with good performance, is the one committing embezzlement," and remarked, "From my perspective, this whole situation seems like a farcical drama."
Regarding some recent controversial remarks, Min denied, saying, "I never said that BTS copied me."
