On the 25th, Celltrion attended the opening ceremony of the Seoul Bio Hub Global Center held in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, demonstrating its strong commitment to fostering promising bio startups. The newly opened Global Center also houses three companies supported by Celltrion: Medimap Bio, S&K Therapeutics, and Enterobiome.

These companies focus respectively on antibody drug development platforms (Medimap Bio), autoimmune and inflammatory diseases (S&K Therapeutics), and drug development utilizing the microbiome (Enterobiome). In January, Celltrion selected these companies as support targets through the ‘Seoul Bio Hub-Celltrion Open Innovation Program.’ Since their selection, Celltrion has continued to provide ▲customized startup incubation programs ▲networking connections with global bio clusters ▲residency rights and rental support at the Seoul Bio Hub Global Center. Through this, Celltrion is actively promoting the growth of promising bio startups and plans to seek synergies by strengthening new drug development capabilities across various modalities with these companies in the future.

The Seoul Bio Hub Global Center is a facility established by the Seoul Metropolitan Government in Hoegi-dong, Dongdaemun-gu, covering an area of 14,711㎡, aimed at supporting the growth of bio companies and creating a collaborative hub for industry, academia, research, and hospitals both domestically and internationally. Resident companies can freely use various convenience facilities such as collaboration spaces for networking with global companies and shared laboratories. Celltrion plans to actively communicate with these companies through the Global Center and continue its nurturing efforts.

A Celltrion representative stated, “With the opening of the Seoul Bio Hub Global Center, various companies including innovative bio startups supported by Celltrion have been provided with an important foundation to achieve growth under stable support. Celltrion will also spare no effort to support sustainable co-growth in the bio industry together with the Seoul Metropolitan Government and fulfill its role as an anchor company.”
