Support up to 25 million KRW, increased by 5 million KRW compared to the previous year
Uiryeong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, is recruiting participants for the ‘Youth Half-Price Rental Housing Repair Cost Support Project,’ which remodels vacant houses left unattended in the area and provides rental housing to young people at half the price of nearby market rates.
Due to increased demand from tenants, the maximum support amount has been raised by 5 million KRW from the previous year to up to 25 million KRW to secure rental housing and revitalize the project.
The ‘Youth Half-Price Rental Housing Repair Cost Support Project,’ which aims to reduce the housing burden on young people and attract population inflow, supports 80% of the remodeling costs (up to 25 million KRW) for owners of vacant houses left unattended for more than one year in the area. During the mandatory rental period (2 to 4 years), the remodeled houses are rented to young people at half the price of nearby market rates.
Applications will be accepted until the available units (2 houses) are fully allocated. Owners of vacant houses who wish to participate can apply by preparing the support application form and qualification documents and visiting the local town or township office where the vacant house is located or the Youth Policy Team of the Extinction Crisis Response Promotion Team at Uiryeong-gun Office.
Detailed information can be found on the Uiryeong-gun website under > County News > Announcements/Notices. For further inquiries, please contact the Youth Policy Team of the Extinction Crisis Response Promotion Team for related information.
