4 Companies in Hamyang-gun Agricultural Food Export Sector Sign $810,000 Export Contract, 4 Companies Sign $1.2 Million Export Agreement
The Gyeongnam Hamyang-gun Vietnam Market Development Team signed export contracts worth $810,000 and export agreements worth $1.2 million for agricultural food products from local exporters through an export consultation meeting held on the 24th.
According to Hamyang-gun, from the 22nd to the 26th, the Vietnam Market Development Team, led by County Governor Jin Byeong-yeong, operated in Ho Chi Minh City, where they held the export consultation meeting and achieved these results.

At the export consultation meeting, 19 local buyers in Ho Chi Minh City were invited to hold consultations with eight companies including Hamyang San Yangsam, Insan Bamboo Salt, PurePlus, and Herb & Tea. They signed export contracts for 15 items worth $810,000 and export agreements for 10 items worth $1.2 million, achieving significant results.
These achievements were driven by the buyers’ strong willingness to discover new import items, fostered through continuous exchanges since January between Hamyang exporters and buyers. Local buyers showed interest in processed San Yangsam products, teas, bamboo salt products, and Samgyetang, which accounted for a large portion of the export contracts.
Vietnam’s population continues to grow steadily, especially among the younger generation whose consumption scale is expanding, increasing their purchasing power. Additionally, the Korean Wave has boosted the popularity of K-products, and through active participation and communication with local buyers, the participating companies positively confirmed the potential for entering the Vietnamese market.
Meanwhile, the 15 contracted products are scheduled to be shipped after customs clearance procedures in Vietnam starting in May.
Governor Jin said, “I am very pleased to have achieved remarkable results with this market development team,” and added, “We will continue to strive to expand the export market for our Hamyang agricultural food products through active buyer consultations and aggressive marketing activities.”
Prior to this, on the 23rd, the Hamyang-gun Vietnam Market Development Team conducted market research on the Ho Chi Minh Chamber of Commerce and local large markets, and on the 25th, they plan to visit two local import companies in Ho Chi Minh City and conduct market research on large supermarkets to effectively approach the Vietnamese market and strengthen export competitiveness of Hamyang agricultural food products.
