Dobong-gu Mayor Oh Eon-seok Declares New City Brand 'A Fresh Start with a New Mindset'
Future-Oriented District Vision Envisions Change and a Happy Life
Symbol Design Represents District's New Beginning and Infinite Possibilities
Dobong-gu (District Mayor Oh Eon-seok) has unveiled a future-oriented urban brand identity (BI) called "Together Change, Happy Dobong."
The brand slogan embodies the meaning of practicing change together with residents to leap toward a hopeful future, creating a Dobong where everyone lives well together, and realizing a vibrant and happy life for the residents.
The circular shape of the symbol design represents Dobong-gu's new beginning to become a younger and more energetic Dobong. A district official explained, "The rotating force of the circle symbolizes Dobong's change, and the shape with no beginning or end represents infinite possibilities."
The district plans to promote the new urban brand closely connected to residents' lives and nationwide. On May 1st, during the 29th Dobong Residents' Day Festival, the district will hold a ceremony to announce the urban brand (BI) and inform residents of the birth of Dobong-gu's urban brand.
Additionally, the district will utilize last year's unveiled representative Dobong-gu characters (Eunbongi and Hakbongi) and the brand song ("Meet You in Dobong") for internal and external promotion of district administration. Various souvenirs will also be produced to leave a strong impression not only on Dobong residents but also on tourists.
Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, stated, "The new urban brand goes beyond a simple symbol or logo; it reflects the district's identity, vision, and future image. With a mindset of starting anew, we will create a livable and attractive city based on the values and philosophy the district pursues."
