Rapid Emergency Response, the First Step to Saving Precious Lives
Yeongcheon City in Gyeongbuk Province will conduct safety training for workers at child-use facilities, organized by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
This training will be held twice, on May 21 and June 10, at the Lifelong Learning Center Useok Hall, specifically for workers at child-use facilities.
The training targets workers at facilities such as daycare centers, child welfare facilities, and academies, where children under the age of 13 primarily use the facilities. These workers are required to complete at least 4 hours of training annually.
The safety training covers emergency response procedures, first aid theory, CPR practice, and automated external defibrillator (AED) usage practice.
Applications for the training can be made through the e-learning websites of the Korea Childcare Promotion Institute and the Central Childcare Support Center.
Mayor Choi Ki-moon stated, “The role of workers at child-use facilities in the field is crucial to safely protect children,” and added, “Yeongcheon City will do its best to create a safe environment for children.”
