Chief Secretary Chairs Meeting with Senior Secretaries

President Yoon Suk-yeol on the 24th presented appointment letters to Jeong Jin-seok, the new Chief of Staff to the President, and Hong Cheol-ho, the Senior Secretary for Political Affairs.
At the appointment ceremony held at the Yongsan Presidential Office in the afternoon, President Yoon handed the appointment letters to Chief Jeong and Senior Secretary Hong, and gave bouquets to their spouses.
At his inauguration ceremony the day before, Chief Jeong said, "If we put aside personal interests and act with only public-mindedness, I believe we can overcome the current difficulties well," adding, "The presidential office secretaries and administrative officers are the steering wheel and engine leading the Republic of Korea." Having resigned from his position as a sitting member of the National Assembly, Chief Jeong began his duties on the day by presiding over the senior secretaries' meeting in the morning.
Senior Secretary Hong is preparing for a summit meeting between President Yoon and Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea.
Present at the ceremony were presidential aides including Jang Ho-jin, Director of the National Security Office; Sung Tae-yoon, Director of the Policy Office; Lee Do-woon, Senior Secretary for Public Relations; Park Chun-seop, Senior Secretary for Economic Affairs; Jang Sang-yoon, Senior Secretary for Social Affairs; Park Sang-wook, Senior Secretary for Science and Technology; Kim Tae-hyo, First Deputy Director of the National Security Office; In Sung-hwan, Second Deputy Director; and Wang Yoon-jong, Third Deputy Director.
