Entering Intensive Summer Public-Private Cooperation Quarantine System...Promoting Sanitation Pest Control Activities for Mosquitoes, Ticks, and Other Vectors Increasing in Summer
Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced that on April 24th at 10:30 AM, the Saemaeul Leaders Geumcheon-gu Council, 10 autonomous neighborhood quarantine teams, and about 200 participants gathered at the Geumcheon Han-nae Multipurpose Square to hold the 'Resident Autonomous Quarantine Team Launch Ceremony.'
Starting with this launch ceremony, the district will enter a focused summer quarantine system to protect residents' health and create a pleasant living environment from mosquitoes and ticks that transmit infectious diseases such as malaria, dengue fever, and Zika virus.
The Resident Autonomous Quarantine Team is composed of residents who are well aware of the neighborhood conditions and will focus on disinfecting vulnerable areas such as parks, residential areas, playgrounds, and sewers within the community using eco-friendly products.
Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, said, "We expect that residents who know the area well performing quarantine activities themselves will greatly help prevent infectious diseases, and we will work together through public-private cooperation to minimize the occurrence of infectious diseases."
