The AI exploration activity clubs supported by the National Gwangju Science Museum have officially begun their activities.
As part of the AI exploration activity support project, the National Gwangju Science Museum conducted a club recruitment for elementary, middle, and high schools in the Honam region last March, and a total of 10 clubs were finally selected through the evaluation process.
The National Gwangju Science Museum provides various benefits to the AI exploration activity clubs, including ▲support for exploration activity supplies and activity expenses ▲coaching by AI experts ▲visits to AI research institutions during vacations ▲AI lectures ▲support for exploration spaces and equipment ▲free admission to the science museum exhibitions. The goal is to support students so they can focus on enhancing their AI capabilities.
The selected clubs will carry out various AI exploration activities for six months according to their applied topics, and at the performance presentation in October, the top three teams will be awarded the Minister of Science and ICT Award, the Mayor of Gwangju Award, and the Director of the National Gwangju Science Museum Award.
On the 24th, Han Sumin, a researcher at the Gwangju Science Museum, said, “We hope that through AI exploration activities, students will increase their understanding of AI and have opportunities to explore various career paths.”
