Jeonnam Fire Department Honored as 3rd Place Excellent Institution in 'National Happiness Firefighting Policy Comprehensive Evaluation'

Positive Reviews Across All Areas Including Integration of Administrative Boundary Fire Service Complaint Handling Agencies

The Jeonnam Fire Headquarters has been recognized for excellence in performing its core firefighting duties.

Jeonnam Fire announced on the 24th that it was selected as an outstanding institution by ranking 3rd in the 2023 'National Happiness Fire Policy Comprehensive Evaluation' conducted by the National Fire Agency.

It was evaluated as excellent across all areas compared to other cities and provinces in 43 detailed indicators across 15 items in 7 fields including fire administration, prevention safety, and on-site response.

In particular, the unification of fire civil complaint processing agencies in three administrative boundary areas to resolve civil complaints, and the nationwide first use of the Hometown Love Donation System to distribute residential fire safety facilities were highly praised.

The National Happiness Fire Policy Comprehensive Evaluation has been conducted by the National Fire Agency since 2010 as a government performance evaluation to protect the lives and property of citizens from various disasters. It is conducted annually targeting fire headquarters in 18 cities and provinces nationwide.

Hong Young-geun, head of the Jeonnam Fire Headquarters, said, “This achievement was possible thanks to the efforts and interest of the residents in fire prevention,” and added, “We will strive even harder to protect the precious lives and property of the residents.”
