Uljin-gun to Host the 3rd Durup Festival and Small Concert

April 26-28, Held at Jeongok-ri, Geumgangsong-myeon

From the 26th to the 28th, Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk will hold the Spring Durup Festival and a small concert in Jeongok-ri, Geumgangsong-myeon.

This festival is hosted by the Jeongok-ri Village Residents' Association and supported by Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power and GB Innovation.

The festival program includes ▲Durup harvesting experience ▲auction and sale of durup and village specialties ▲cooking experience ▲village trail trekking ▲treasure hunt ▲jegichagi (Korean shuttlecock kicking) ▲moon-viewing singing contest ▲small concert, offering a variety of activities to provide visitors with abundant enjoyment.

Additionally, for the convenience of festival attendees, a dedicated shuttle bus will operate round-trip between Uljin-eup and the Geumgangsong-myeon event site during the three days of the festival.

The bus departs from in front of the Uljin-gun Forestry Cooperative at 9:30 AM, and the return buses will pick up passengers at the Jeongok-ri village parking lot at 4:30 PM on the 26th, 7:00 PM on the 27th, and 2:00 PM on the 28th.

Kim Daldeok, head of Jeongok-ri, said, “The village residents have worked hard to plan and prepare this festival, so we hope many people will participate and enjoy it.”

Son Byeongbok, the county governor, said, “We hope you visit Jeongok-ri, a mountain village in Uljin, to experience the mountain village atmosphere and enjoy spring with the Durup Festival, creating memorable moments.”
