Coway Water Purifiers Loved Even in Luxury Hotels

Leading the B2B Market with Industry-Specific Customized Strategies

Coway is attracting the full attention of high-end hotels in Korea. After recently succeeding in securing water purifier supply contracts with several hotels, numerous hotels are flooding Coway with partnership inquiries.

On the 25th, Coway announced that following the installation of 405 Nano Direct Water Mini Purifiers at Le Meridien & Moxy Seoul Myeongdong in February, it installed 287 water purifiers in all rooms of Courtyard by Marriott Seoul Times Square in March. Coway plans to additionally supply water purifiers and air purifiers by signing contracts with Marriott-affiliated hotels and major domestic resort companies.

Coway first proposed solutions to hotels considering the expansion of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management and the prohibition of free disposable items under the Resource Recycling Act. Considering the hotel environment where electricity is cut off when guests are not staying, Coway adopted a non-powered method and introduced customized products with high space utilization that do not spoil the interior. Additionally, it committed to providing top-level care services.

To verify the customized solution, Coway conducted a one-month pre-evaluation by hotel guests and a showcase for hotel clients. The evaluation mainly highlighted the practicality and eco-friendliness of using water purifiers instead of bottled water. Hotels also expected to reduce plastic waste output, practice ESG management, and provide more comfortable room services.

Besides hotels, Coway is actively responding to the B2B (business-to-business) market by proposing products and care solutions optimized for various business environments through customized consulting by industry. It has expanded its B2B market share by establishing partnerships with over 50 companies nationwide, including banks and retailers with branches across the country. It also won procurement projects for air purifiers from the Seoul, Ulsan, and Jeju Offices of Education.

A Coway official said, “Water purifiers, air purifiers, bidets, and massage chairs are essential items for corporate member welfare, and demand is increasing in the B2B market. We plan to strengthen our competitiveness in the B2B market based on differentiated products and services centered on corporate clients.”
