Sacheon-si, Special Event for Single Men and Women to Escape Being Singles

Creating Connections Between Young Men and Women

Heart Signal, Youth Travel

A special event to help single men and women escape singleness will be held in Sacheon, Gyeongnam.

According to the city on the 24th, the "Sacheon City Single Men and Women Matchmaking" event, a meeting place for young men and women, will be held on May 25 at Sacheon Namildae Resort.

This event will be held for 15 pairs of marriageable single men and women born between 1986 and 1999, running from 1 PM to 10 PM for 9 hours. The number of participants may be adjusted depending on the number of applicants.

On the day, participants will find their ideal match through activities such as riding the Sacheon Sea Cable Car and visiting the aquarium for their first date, couple recreation, photo contest, one-on-one some matching, and self-promotion of their charm. The program may be modified, changed, or replaced.

Applications are open until May 3. This year, the number of participants was reduced by 5 pairs compared to last year to allow more time for participants to get to know each other, so young men and women who want to escape the solo nation need to hurry.

Applicants should prepare the application form, consent form for collection and use of personal information, certificate of employment or health insurance qualification certificate, resident registration abstract, marriage relation certificate, and visit the eup/myeon/dong administrative welfare center to apply. The final participants will be confirmed on May 16 and notified individually via text message.

This event is a couple matching program combined with a travel meeting, planned to provide a natural meeting opportunity for local office workers who have had relatively few chances to meet due to their busy daily lives.

Mayor Park Dongsik said, "For various reasons, non-marriage or late marriage is becoming a social trend, naturally leading to population decline and lower birth rates," and added, "I hope this event will help change perceptions about marriage even a little."
