Comprehensive Multi-Sensory Stimulation Program for Children Aged 0-12 Years 진행

Ulju-gun Dream Start announced on the 24th that it will implement age-specific comprehensive programs for children aged 0 to 12 in line with creating a child-friendly city environment.

As a representative program, the 'Dream Eye Growing While Playing and Learning' sensory stimulation program for infants and toddlers will be operated until the 4th of next month.

This program was planned as a preventive measure against the rapid increase in developmental delays among infants and toddlers over the past four years. It aims to promote emotional bonding and social activities for infants, improve vocabulary, and help caregivers acquire parenting knowledge.

After a preliminary demand survey, the program will be conducted for 17 families with infants and toddlers who wished to participate, divided into two regions, every Saturday for a total of four sessions.

In the western region, instructors are invited to the Western Dream Start to conduct sensory stimulation activities for infants and toddlers through picture book (book play) activities, with content designed for caregivers and children to learn while playing together. In the southern region, the Minz Sensory Development Center is utilized to conduct tactile play with various materials to stimulate the senses of infants and toddlers.

In addition, this year Ulju-gun Dream Start will provide various integrated services monthly for vulnerable children aged 0 to 12 based on four areas: cognition, emotion, physical, and parents.

In the cognition and language area, age-specific customized worksheets are supported, and 1:1 learning mentoring matching volunteers with vulnerable children at appropriate levels is conducted.

In the emotional and behavioral area, psychological and emotional counseling and play therapy are provided for children and caregivers.

In June and July, a one-day family camp will be held for infants, toddlers, lower-grade elementary students, and their caregivers to foster family bonding and interaction, and in October, customized services such as family trips for upper-grade elementary students and their caregivers will be offered.
