The Ministry of Science and ICT announced on the 24th that the first microsatellite cluster, launched from New Zealand, successfully separated from the launch vehicle at 8:22 AM (local time 11:22 AM), 50 minutes after liftoff.
The Rocket Lab 'Electron' launch vehicle carrying the first microsatellite cluster smoothly completed the launch sequence, including first-stage engine and fairing separation, as well as second-stage engine separation, and used the kick stage to deploy the satellite into its final orbit.
The first microsatellite cluster is expected to orbit the Earth approximately twice before communicating with the ground station at the Korea Aerospace Research Institute in Daejeon around 11:55 AM.
