Eunpyeong-gu (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) announced that it will support the ‘Eunbit SOL Safety Home Set’ until May 31 to prevent residential intrusion for single-person households and create a safe living environment.
The ‘Eunbit SOL Safety Home Set’ is a project that provides three types of safety equipment to single-person households who feel anxious about residential intrusion. Compared to last year, eligibility criteria have been relaxed and the number of applicants expanded to actively eliminate safety blind spots.
Eligible applicants are single-person households with a monthly rent deposit (converted jeonse amount) or self-owned house standard value of 300 million KRW or less, and selection will be made according to priority. Priority 1 is those who have experienced residential intrusion crimes, Priority 2 is those with income below 150% of the median income, and Priority 3 is those exceeding 150% of the median income. The median income is determined by health insurance premium payments.
The three safety devices include ▲Smart Doorbell (smartphone-linked front door CCTV) ▲Home CCTV (360-degree rotation, motion and sound detection) ▲Front Door Safety Device (prevents door opening), and applicants can choose all or some of these.
Applications can be submitted by visiting the Eunpyeong-gu Family Policy Division or the Eunpyeong-gu Single-Person Household Support Center, or online until May 31. For application methods, required documents, and other details, please refer to the announcement on the Eunpyeong-gu Office website.
Eunpyeong-gu will form a selection committee through public-private-police cooperation and select recipients in June, providing individual guidance regarding installation.
Kim Mi-kyung, Mayor of Eunpyeong-gu, said, “We hope the Eunbit SOL Safety Home Set will safely protect the inside and outside of homes so that single-person households can live their daily lives with peace of mind and comfort,” adding, “Furthermore, we expect it to prevent residential crime damage and improve residents’ perceived safety.”
