Jeonnam Provincial Council and Jeonnam Office of Education Actively Promote the 'Glocal Future Education Expo'

Visit to Gwangju City Hall and City Council, Establishing Cooperation System for Expo

The Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education announced on the 23rd that it has launched a promotional campaign across Gwangju Metropolitan City to ensure the successful hosting of the ‘2024 Korea Glocal Future Education Expo’ to be held in Yeosu next month.

On this day, educational officials including Song Hyung-gon, a member of the Jeonnam Provincial Council, and Kang Sang-cheol, Director of the Safety and Welfare Division of the Provincial Office of Education, visited Gwangju City Hall and the Gwangju City Council.

They met with city council members and city hall officials to explain the key aspects of the ‘Glocal Future Education Expo’ and conveyed a hopeful message urging “all parties to cooperate so that local governments can overcome the crisis of regional extinction through collaboration.”

In particular, they emphasized, “The Future Education Expo will be an opportunity to present a future education model by strengthening the advantages of regions that enable individualized and specialized education,” adding, “By establishing a healthy educational ecosystem through symbiotic education that prepares for the future, we can overcome the crisis of regional extinction.”

The ‘2024 Korea Glocal Future Education Expo,’ themed ‘Symbiotic Education, Sustainable Future,’ will be held from May 29 to June 2 at the Yeosu World Expo Exhibition Hall, featuring a variety of programs including lectures by overseas scholars, glocal future education exhibitions, future classroom operations, and cultural and artistic exchange festivals.
