Newly appointed Lee Sang-gil (60) took office as the full-time Vice Chairman of the Daegu Chamber of Commerce and Industry on the 23rd.
Vice Chairman Lee Sang-gil said, “Based on my experience in public service at the central government and Daegu City, as well as my experience managing companies during my tenure as CEO of EXCO, I will work to enhance the connection between industrial policies and the corporate field. Additionally, I will strive to actively promote the overseas expansion of local companies.” He added, “I will also establish smooth cooperative relationships with local companies and related regional organizations to create a business-friendly environment and actively contribute to revitalizing the regional economy.”
Vice Chairman Lee Sang-gil graduated from Daegu Seonggwang High School and majored in Public Administration at Kyungpook National University. After earning a master's degree from Seoul National University, he studied abroad at Syracuse University in the United States.
Lee Sang-gil entered public service by passing the 35th Administrative Examination in 1991. He served as Director of Planning and Coordination at Daegu City, Director of Local Finance Policy at the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, and Deputy Mayor of Daegu City. Later, he served as CEO of EXCO.
Vice Chairman Lee Sang-gil began his duties immediately on the day without a separate inauguration ceremony.
