Prestige Bio Surpasses 10 Contract Testing Orders... "Full Operation of Plant 1"

Prestige Biologics, a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) specializing in biopharmaceuticals, announced on the 23rd that it has secured over 10 contract orders for contract testing within just one year of completing its 154,000ℓ scale factory last year. The clients range from leading domestic pharmaceutical companies such as Alteogen, Fosbacks, and Celltrion to biotech firms based on new technologies. The company is accelerating additional orders to ensure that contract testing agreements lead to CDMO production contracts.

Steady contract testing orders have now surpassed 10, expanding the company’s track record. Stability testing is one of the essential initial steps required for the development and production of antibody drugs. This niche market has emerged as demand grows for conducting tests in GMP-certified facilities that meet international standards from the outset, considering commercialization. Prestige Biologics is undertaking various projects to secure both track record and revenue.

In particular, contract testing is part of a strategy to gain customer trust by applying quality testing service expertise within GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) facilities. Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) agreements typically begin with partnerships formed with companies that have built long-term trust from the early stages, followed by incremental increases in volume after the initial contract is signed.

Alongside contract testing agreements, Prestige Biologics has also achieved more than four orders in its Contract Packaging Organization (CPO) business. CPO contracts involve utilizing Prestige Biologics’ GMP pharmaceutical production facilities to undertake secondary packaging and transportation tasks for all clinical drugs requested by trading partners. The company is negotiating additional contracts by leveraging its strength in providing the entire cycle of the pharmaceutical CDMO business, from drug development stages through production and CPO packaging. The main customers include foreign companies’ domestic clinical trial demands and domestic pharmaceutical companies’ overseas clinical trial sample packaging.
