Children's Sports Facility Renovation... Foot Washing and Rest Areas Provided
Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 23rd that it will create a loess barefoot path in Mukgok Ecological Forest (Seongcheol Park) in Danseong-myeon. This project was prepared to improve the living conditions of local residents and promote the health of visitors.
The project will invest a total of 350 million KRW to build a 760m long and 1.5m wide loess path, aiming for completion in June. In particular, plants such as Liriope and Lycoris radiata will be planted to provide visitors with both health benefits and visual attractions.
Additionally, children's sports facilities will be refurbished to allow children to play freely, and foot washing facilities and resting areas will also be established.
County Governor Lee Seung-hwa said, “I hope this project will serve as a new experience and provide visual attractions,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to create spaces that offer various memorable experiences.”
Meanwhile, Mukgok Ecological Forest, established in 2010, covers an area of 14 hectares and is planted with approximately 150,000 trees and herbaceous plants.
It also features children's playgrounds, a lawn yard, a wetland ecological garden, parking lots, and convenience facilities. Located near the birthplace of Seongcheol Monk and Jinju City, it is gaining attention as a resting space around the urban area.
