Entry into Papua New Guinea AMI Market
Provision of AMI System and Operational Improvement Consulting Services
Energy IoT platform company Nuriplex is actively entering the overseas Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) market.
Nuriplex announced on the 23rd that it signed an AMI project supply contract worth 7.8 billion KRW with Papua New Guinea Power Limited (PPL) to improve energy management. Following Northern Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America, it has now expanded into Papua New Guinea, located in Oceania.
Nuriplex will supply the entire AMI solution, including its smart meters, data centers, head-end system (HES), meter data management system (MDMS), and operation improvement services, to 10,000 industrial and commercial customers of PPL. It will also handle maintenance for 3 years. The project duration is 1 year and 6 months after contract signing.
PPL selected Nuriplex as the business operator due to its proven technology and extensive experience in deployment and operation for efficient power supply and management systems.
Nuriplex CEO Han Jung-hoon said, "The AMI system has secured various solutions including products for high-voltage and low-voltage customers, and successfully built a high-voltage AMI system in Ethiopia, Africa," adding, "winning the AMI project ordered by Papua New Guinea Power Limited is significant as it means securing a leading position in the market."
