Jeongeup City in Jeollabuk-do provides subsidies for the purchase of electric two-wheelers to reduce fine dust and improve air quality.
According to the city on the 23rd, a total of 46 electric two-wheelers will be supplied, including 31 general units, 5 priority units, and 10 delivery units.
The subsidy amounts vary by type: up to 1.4 million KRW for light vehicles, up to 2.3 million KRW for small vehicles, up to 2.7 million KRW for medium and other types, and up to 3 million KRW for large vehicles.
Eligible applicants are citizens aged 18 or older who have been continuously registered residents in Jeongeup for at least 90 days as of the application date, or corporations and organizations with business locations in Jeongeup for at least 30 days.
Support is provided for one unit per individual and up to five units per sole proprietorship or corporation.
In particular, this year, an additional 300,000 KRW is provided when purchasing an electric two-wheeler after discontinuing the use of an internal combustion engine two-wheeler. Vulnerable groups, small business owners, and farmers receive an additional 20% of the national subsidy amount, and those purchasing for delivery purposes receive an additional 10% of the national subsidy amount.
To apply, visit the manufacturer or seller of the desired electric two-wheeler and fill out the subsidy application form. The manufacturer or seller will handle the subsidy application procedures on behalf of the applicant.
