Busan Office of Education Enhances School Administrators' Competence in 'Digital Class Innovation'

‘Digital-Based High-Touch High-Tech’ Training

Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Ha Yun-su) announced on the 23rd that it will operate the ‘Digital-Based Educational Innovation High-Touch High-Tech (HTHT) Education School Administrator Training’ for about 1,250 administrators of elementary, middle, high, and special schools at the Signiel Hotel in Haeundae-gu until the 26th.


This training was prepared to help school administrators understand the direction of the digital transformation and to enhance their capacity for instructional innovation, thereby realizing the digital transformation of public education.


The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education will conduct the training under the theme of ‘Digital-Based Educational Innovation High-Touch High-Tech Education’ with various lectures by experts.


On the 24th, Professor Kim Ok-seong of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at POSTECH will give a lecture titled ‘Utilizing AI and Digital Technologies as Tools to Support Instructional Innovation,’ and on the 25th, Professor Kim Su-hwan of the Department of Computer Education at Chongshin University will lecture on ‘Using AI Digital Textbooks as Tools to Enhance Student Engagement and Learner Autonomy through Personalized Learning.’


On the 26th, Professor Kwon Hyuk-chul of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Pusan National University will deliver a lecture on ‘Changes in Future Education Using AI and Big Data.’ Additionally, over the three days, Senior Teacher Cho Hyun-sik of Pocheon Elementary School will discuss ‘Changes in Teachers’ Roles and Awakening Classrooms through the Introduction of AI Digital Textbooks.’


Along with this, the Office of Education will provide guidance on the ‘AI Digital Textbook Education Policy Direction’ and the ‘AI Digital Textbook Implementation Schedule’ to be introduced in 2025.


Ha Yun-su, Superintendent of Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, said, “This training will serve as a foundation for realizing student-customized education through digital-based educational innovation,” and added, “The Office of Education will systematically support teachers’ autonomous and proactive instructional innovation to lead a successful classroom revolution.”
