This program, introduced for the first time this year, aims to strengthen global competencies and promote exchanges between the future generations of the two countries by providing university students with opportunities for local language training, field learning (internships), and cultural experiences in Japan.

Samyook University will select three students to be dispatched to Tokyo, Japan for 16 weeks. These students will receive pre-departure training in Korea, including orientation, cultural and safety education, language education, and job training. They will depart at the end of August to undergo 8 weeks of language training and 8 weeks of internship locally. Each participating student will receive support of 10.2 million KRW for tuition, accommodation, and other expenses.

The internships will be arranged with local companies or institutions considering the students' Japanese language proficiency, major, work skills, and desired employment fields. Students undergoing the internship will perform their duties in Japanese alongside local employees at the respective companies.

Jung Sung-jin, Director of the University Job Center at Samyook University, stated, “We will prioritize selecting economically and socially vulnerable groups to provide opportunities to enhance global competencies and foreign language skills. Based on the university’s internal and external infrastructure, we will operate a professional and systematic training program to create a successful overseas employment model.”
