On the 22nd (local time), she posted on social media (SNS), "After much consideration, I have decided not to participate in this week's LPGA Tour JM Eagle LA Championship (total prize money $3.75 million)." She explained her reason for withdrawal, saying, "It was not an easy decision, but having played in four tournaments over the past five weeks, I am somewhat physically and mentally fatigued. I decided to rest in order to finish the remaining season well." The tournament will be held over four days starting on the 25th at Wilshire Country Club (par 71, 6,258 yards) in Los Angeles, California.

Korda set a record-tying longest winning streak on the LPGA Tour with five consecutive victories. She won the season's first major, the Chevron Championship, which ended on the 21st, marking her fifth straight win in recent tournaments. The LPGA Tour's longest winning streak record is shared by Korda, Nancy Lopez (USA) in 1978, and Annika S?renstam (Sweden) in 2005.

Korda was expected to continue her momentum and compete in the JM Eagle LA Championship to challenge for the tour's first six consecutive wins, but she decided to withdraw from the tournament. The LPGA Tour winning streak record is calculated based on the tournaments a player participates in. Korda's absence from the JM Eagle LA Championship will not affect her winning streak. Her attempt at six consecutive wins is expected to be at the Cognizant Founders Cup, which opens on May 9.
