Jeon Yeok: "This Is Not the Time to Lose Temper and Be Stubborn"
Former People Power Party Emergency Response Committee Chairman Han Dong-hoon declined President Yoon Seok-yeol's lunch invitation due to health reasons, while on the 22nd, former Saenuri Party (the predecessor of the People Power Party) lawmaker Jeon Yeo-ok pointed out that "politics is about eating with people you dislike."
On the same day, former lawmaker Jeon posted an article titled 'Can't even eat together?' on her blog, saying, "The people of this country ask with a heart that feels like coughing up blood. Can't we even eat together?"

She said, "We lost the recent general election. The reasons for the defeat are not just one," adding, "Both President Yoon and former Chairman Han made mistakes." She continued, "What is important is that this is a critical time," emphasizing, "This is not the time to blame each other and throw tantrums. Now, President Yoon and former Chairman Han must join hands and cross the 'river of crisis' together."
Finally, former lawmaker Jeon pointed out, "Former Chairman Han boasts a popularity that even some celebrities envy," adding, "But popularity is fleeting and like bubbles. This is what celebrities who have overcome celebrity syndrome unanimously say."
Meanwhile, former Chairman Han posted on his Facebook on the 20th, saying, "No matter what happens, I will never betray you, the people," and "The only ones politicians should not betray are you, the people. Efforts to correct mistakes are not betrayal but courage."
He continued, "I believe that when sophisticated and powerful leadership meets the understanding and support of the people, we can overcome difficulties," and "I will take time to study and reflect to become more sophisticated." This was his first public statement after resigning from the Emergency Response Committee Chairman position, taking responsibility for the April 10 general election defeat.
