Goryeong-gun, Gyeongbuk Province (Governor Lee Nam-cheol) participated in the ‘Y-FARM EXPO 2024 Smart Return to Farming and Rural Youth Startup Expo’ held at Suwon Convention Center from the 19th to the 21st and received the Excellent Promotion Booth Award.

Co-hosted by Yonhap News Agency and the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation, this expo featured participation from over 103 organizations including local governments, public institutions, and companies nationwide. Goryeong-gun operated a consultation booth, providing tailored consultations to visitors during the expo. Through explanations of Goryeong-gun’s agricultural policies and return-to-farming support projects, the booth served as a guide for prospective returnees and provided essential information for urban residents preparing to return to farming and rural living.
Governor Lee Nam-cheol stated, “We will continue to actively strive not only through expos but also by utilizing various promotional channels to revitalize the aging rural areas and attract more return-to-farming and rural residents, thereby further energizing Goryeong-gun.”
