Gyeonggi Office of Education to Hold 'Gambling Prevention and Eradication Campaign' at Wondang Middle School on the 22nd

On the 22nd, the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education held the 'NoBak (NoBak) Campaign' to prevent and eradicate gambling at Wondang Middle School in Goyang City.


The campaign was a joint event organized by the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, Goyang Education Support Office, Goyang Police Station, Northern Gyeonggi Gambling Problem Prevention and Treatment Center, and the Wondang Middle School Student Council to prevent and eradicate gambling.


Gyeonggi Office of Education to Hold 'Gambling Prevention and Eradication Campaign' at Wondang Middle School on the 22nd Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education is conducting a campaign to prevent and eradicate gambling.

Taking this event as an opportunity, the Office of Education plans to designate the fourth week of April every year as 'NoBak Campaign Week' and continuously conduct student gambling prevention and eradication education.


The NoBak Campaign includes ▲ joint campaigns among the Office of Education, Education Support Office, Police Station, specialized institutions, and schools ▲ intensive training on cyber gambling prevention education ▲ school and student-led gambling prevention education linked to the curriculum ▲ cyber gambling prevention promotion using the websites of the Office of Education, Education Support Office, and schools.


Lee Ji-myeong, Director of the Life Character Education Division at the Office of Education, stated, "The problem of students becoming addicted to gambling does not stop at gambling itself but leads to secondary issues such as extortion, threats, and school violence, so prevention is very important," adding, "All school members will take an interest and continuously strive for prevention and eradication."
