On the 21st (local time), major foreign media including the AP reported that Sabrin Alsakani, a refugee in Rafah, the southernmost part of Gaza Strip, along with her husband and their 4-year-old daughter, died in an Israeli airstrike. At the time of the airstrike, Alsakani was 30 weeks pregnant, and upon realizing this, paramedics urgently transported the body to a nearby hospital in Kuwait. Medical staff quickly performed a cesarean section, and the baby in the mother's womb was barely able to be born into the world.

The baby girl, born weighing 1.4 kg, was in a critical condition. Medical staff performed emergency measures such as blowing air into the baby's mouth and tapping her chest as she barely breathed, and fortunately, the baby gradually stabilized. The baby was transferred to a hospital in the United Arab Emirates and is currently living in an incubator in the intensive care unit.

The baby's uncle recalled the 4-year-old niece who died in the airstrike, saying, "The baby's older sister was happy that her younger sister was coming into the world." The baby's grandmother said, "This baby is my love, my soul, and a memory of my son," adding, "I will take care of this child." The baby's name was given as 'Sabrin Juda' after her mother.

Dr. Mohammad Salame of the hospital in the United Arab Emirates said, "We can say that the baby's health has somewhat recovered, but she is still in a dangerous condition," adding, "This child should have been in her mother's womb, but that right was taken away." He expressed sorrow that although the baby barely survived, she became an orphan immediately after birth. He also added that the baby will need to be hospitalized for 3 to 4 weeks.

According to Palestinian health officials, during the night of the same day, two houses were hit in an Israeli airstrike in Rafah, resulting in a total of 19 deaths including the Alsakani family. Officials reported that in addition to Alsakani's house, another house struck in the airstrike saw the deaths of 13 children and 2 women. Currently, Israel is continuing airstrikes on Rafah, the southernmost border city of Gaza Strip, identifying it as Hamas's last stronghold. The international community is urging Israel to refrain from further attacks, warning that if urban warfare breaks out in Rafah, where about 1.4 million refugees have gathered, massive casualties are expected.
