Gyeongbuk Office of Education Operates 207 'Safe Kindergartens' for Parents' Peace of Mind All Day Long

The Gyeongbuk Office of Education (Superintendent Lim Jong-sik) announced on the 22nd that it will select and operate 207 Parent-Trusted Kindergartens for the 2024 academic year.


The Parent-Trusted Kindergarten project is a program that strengthens the responsibility for health and safety management in kindergartens to create a safe educational environment where parents can confidently send their children to kindergarten.

This year, 207 kindergartens were selected as Parent-Trusted Kindergartens, an increase of 5 from last year, and a budget of over 270 million won will be provided to support the creation of a healthy and safe kindergarten educational environment.


Through the operation of Parent-Trusted Kindergartens, the project aims to enhance the public nature of early childhood education by improving and spreading health and safety culture, strengthening kindergarten staff’s safety capabilities, reinforcing experience-centered education, and establishing an efficient kindergarten facility safety management system.


Additionally, in the first half of this year, consulting and training will be conducted for kindergarten staff in charge of operations, and in the second half, various cases related to creating a safety culture will be discovered and disseminated to school sites.


Lim Jong-sik, Superintendent of Gyeongbuk Office of Education, stated, “We will spare no administrative or financial support to create a safe early childhood education environment where all kindergarten parents can confidently send their children to kindergarten.”
