President Yoon's Approval Rating Falls for 2 Consecutive Weeks
Party Support: People Power 35.8%, Democratic Party 35.0%

President Yoon Suk-yeol's approval rating for his administration has slightly declined, but the decrease is gradual, suggesting that it is stabilizing at a bottom level. In party support ratings, the People Power Party's support has risen, narrowly surpassing the Democratic Party within the margin of error.

According to a public opinion poll released on the 22nd by Realmeter (commissioned by Energy Economy Newspaper, conducted from the 15th to the 19th, targeting 2,509 voters aged 18 and over nationwide, with 97% mobile and 3% landline automated responses), President Yoon's approval rating dropped by 0.3 percentage points from the previous survey to 32.3%. Despite a two-week consecutive decline amid the shock of the general election defeat, the rating remains in the low 30% range. Negative evaluations rose by 0.7 percentage points to 64.3%.

In daily surveys, President Yoon's approval rating, which had fallen to 28.2% (on the 12th) in the second week of April, showed a trend of maintaining the low 30% range. Although there was a significant drop in approval following the general election defeat, it appears to have stabilized at the low 30% level.

However, a notable point is the 8.7 percentage point drop (from 49.4% to 40.7%) in the Daegu-Gyeongbuk region, where support had been strong.

In the party support survey (commissioned by Energy Economy Newspaper, conducted from the 18th to the 19th, targeting 1,002 voters aged 18 and over nationwide, with 97% mobile and 3% landline automated responses), the People Power Party, which suffered a crushing defeat in the general election, showed a rebound in support, while the Democratic Party's support declined.

The People Power Party's support rose by 2.2 percentage points to 35.8%. The Democratic Party fell by 2.0 percentage points to 35.0%.

The People’s Innovation Party increased by 0.2 percentage points to 14.4%, while the Reform Party decreased by 0.3 percentage points to 4.8%.
