Hanwha Group's defense companies will showcase the latest naval vessel technologies.
Hanwha Ocean, Hanwha Aerospace, and Hanwha Systems announced on the 22nd that they will participate in the '2024 Yi Sun-sin Defense Industry Exhibition' held from the 24th at the Naval Academy in Jinhae, Changwon, Gyeongnam, operating a joint exhibition hall.

Hanwha Ocean will present four types of vessels and technologies: the Korean next-generation destroyer (KDDX), Ulsan-class Batch-III frigate, Jangbogo-III Batch-II submarine, and lithium batteries. Visitors will be welcomed with a conceptual design model of the KDDX, the Ulsan-class Batch-III frigate ordered by Hanwha Ocean last year, and a model of the Jangbogo-III Batch-II diesel-powered submarine, which boasts the strongest current performance and diving capabilities among diesel submarines.
Through the exhibition, Hanwha Ocean plans to demonstrate its technological prowess as a leading shipbuilder not only to naval officials visiting the booth but also to over 50 overseas military attach?s from 25 countries. Additionally, they intend to showcase their capabilities for detailed design and initial shipbuilding of the KDDX.
Hanwha Aerospace and Hanwha Systems will exhibit naval engines and generators, and marine unmanned-manned hybrid systems, respectively.
Hanwha Aerospace will unveil the LM2500 engine and generators, the heart of the Republic of Korea Navy's vessels, along with lithium battery systems for submarines. Hanwha Systems will focus on demonstrating capabilities of the 'marine unmanned-manned hybrid system' utilizing low Earth orbit satellites. Exhibits include ▲ low Earth orbit communication satellites ▲ unmanned surface vessel for reconnaissance 'Haeryeong (Sea GHOST)' ▲ multi-mission unmanned surface vessel ▲ anti-submarine reconnaissance unmanned underwater vehicle ▲ next-generation mine disposal system based on autonomous navigation.
