Hana Securities forecasted on the 22nd that Pine M Tech will show strong growth starting this year.

Choi Jae-ho, a researcher at Hana Securities, stated in a report on the same day, "China's foldable phone shipments are about 7 million units, and approximately 11 million units are expected this year," adding, "Pine M Tech is directly benefiting from market expansion as it supplies embedded hinges to the Greater China region through a leading domestic display company."

Pine M Tech's first-quarter performance this year is expected to record sales of 69.5 billion KRW and operating profit of 2.2 billion KRW, representing increases of 36% and 104.3%, respectively, compared to the same period last year. Embedded hinges are expected to increase by 38.6% year-on-year due to expanded volumes for the Greater China market, and EV module housing is anticipated to reach around 8.5 billion KRW.

In particular, from this year, external hinges for foldable smartphones are expected to act as a new growth driver. Researcher Choi Jae-ho said, "Besides the previously monopolized competitor, a dual-supplier system has been established, and this will start to be reflected in performance from the second quarter," forecasting that "annual external hinge sales will reach 59.8 billion KRW."
