Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) will hold the '2024 Gwanak Spring Festival HAPPY FESTIVAL' at Byeolbitnaerincheon (Dorimcheon) from May 4th to 5th.
In January, the district announced the full-scale launch of the four-season festival brand 'Gwanak Festival' under the slogan 'Gwanak is dyed with festivals.'
This spring, to celebrate Family Month, the festival will open the four-season festival series with the '2024 Gwanak Spring Festival HAPPY FESTIVAL.'
The district has prepared the largest children and family festival in Gwanak-gu, aiming to create a city of harmony that transcends generational taste gaps.
This festival features a variety of programs for all generations to enjoy, including performances in diverse genres such as ▲trot ▲folk songs ▲popera. The festival runs from 1 PM to 9 PM and is free for everyone regardless of age or gender.
First, family performances for children inside the venue include ▲Samulnori street performances ▲Korean traditional musical Ddongbyeorak ▲Ahn Eun-mi Company stage ▲Bubble magic show ▲Percussion performance.
Additionally, visitors can experience permanent programs such as ▲‘Drawing Zone’ using recycled books ▲Happy Book ▲Byeolbit Drawing Contest, as well as various programs and food booths including ▲independent bookstores ▲children’s flea market ▲Shinwon Market food tasting.
Street performances by local young artists and shows that will captivate middle-aged and older generations are also prepared.
During the evening, the 'Generational Empathy Music Concert' will feature ▲Kim Soo-chan from ‘Mr. Trot Season 1’ ▲Kim Yoo-ha, the youngest contestant from ‘Tomorrow’s National Singer’ ▲Kim So-yu, a singer from ‘Active King of Singers’.
Moreover, themed spaces centered around the waterfront will be created for healing in line with the local characteristics, and various experiential exhibition programs using books will be operated.
On the day, Park Jun-hee, Mayor of Gwanak-gu, said, “Many families visited the festival site today, and seeing people of all ages enjoying themselves made me happy as well,” adding, “We will actively cooperate to establish the Gwanak Spring Festival HAPPY FESTIVAL as a representative festival of Gwanak-gu and create an even more fun and developed festival next year.”
