Presidential Office: "Yoon-Lee Meeting, Date and Format Not Decided"

Partial Denial of Reports on Meeting Scheduled for the 24th

The Presidential Office stated on the 20th, "The date and format for the meeting between President Yoon Seok-yeol and Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, have not been decided."

This denies some reports that President Yoon and Lee are scheduled to meet on the 24th.

Earlier, President Yoon had proposed during a phone call with Lee the previous day, "If circumstances allow next week, let's meet in Yongsan."

President Yoon also said, "Let's start communicating by meeting first, and from now on, meet frequently to have tea, meals, and phone calls to discuss state affairs."

Lee responded, "I appreciate President Yoon's willingness, and we should be helpful to the work the President is doing."

Accordingly, the Presidential Office and the Democratic Party are coordinating specific details of the meeting, including the date, agenda, and attendees.
