Statement Following Israel's Retaliatory Attack
The Iranian government has issued a warning of 'retaliatory response' against Israel's attacks.
Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Iran's Foreign Minister, stated in an interview with the US NBC network on the 19th (local time), "If Israel seeks further adventurism and acts against Iran's interests, our next response will be immediate and carried out at the highest level."
This statement came after Israel's retaliatory attacks targeting mainland Iran continued earlier that day. Around 4 a.m., Iran shot down a drone with an anti-air missile in the central city of Isfahan.
Although Israel has not officially confirmed, US officials and internal sources have confirmed to foreign media that the Israeli military was responsible for the attack. This occurred six days after Iran's retaliatory response on the 13th following Israel's airstrike on the Iranian consulate in Syria on the 1st.
