Beoseong Love Gift Certificates Available for Pickup at Local Nonghyups
Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it will pay the ‘2024 Farmers and Fishermen Public Interest Allowance’ through local agricultural cooperatives from April 24 to May 31 to enhance the public interest functions of farmers, fishermen, and foresters.
The 2024 Farmers and Fishermen Public Interest Allowance will provide 600,000 KRW in policy-issued Boseong Love Gift Certificates per household. The total number of recipients is 9,587, and the total payment amount is 5.75 billion KRW.
The eligibility can be confirmed at the administrative welfare centers (myeon offices) in the resident’s address area. From April 24, recipients can present their ID at the local agricultural cooperative in their jurisdiction and receive the allowance in Boseong Love Gift Certificates after identity verification.
Additionally, starting this year, if the recipient is temporarily unable to receive the public interest allowance directly due to reasons such as hospitalization, a proxy receipt confirmation can be issued at the administrative welfare center (myeon office) of the resident’s address, allowing direct ascendants, descendants, or household members to receive it on their behalf.
Furthermore, the policy-issued Boseong Love Gift Certificates can also be used at businesses with annual sales exceeding 3 billion KRW (such as Nonghyup Hanaro Mart, economic business sites, and some gas stations).
An official from the county stated, “The Farmers and Fishermen Public Interest Allowance is paid to farmers and fishermen as compensation for the public and multifaceted values of agriculture, fisheries, and rural areas, as well as to support household income.” He added, “By paying the allowance in Boseong Love Gift Certificates, we expect it to greatly contribute to stabilizing the management of agricultural, forestry, and fishery workers and revitalizing the local economy.”
